Working with me
Working with Harshad Satra means working directly with the developer who builds your project. There's no agency layer and no hand-offs to junior staff. With 13 years of experience, including leading engineering teams at Leah and DocuX, he brings structure to every project: a written proposal before work starts, weekly progress on a staging site, and a launch checklist covering speed, SEO and analytics.
Most projects follow the six steps below. Small fixes can start within days; larger builds are scheduled once the proposal is agreed.
- CommunicationEmail, video calls, shared task board
- Time zoneIST (UTC+5:30), flexible overlap
- StagingPrivate preview URL throughout
- OwnershipCode and content are yours
Process
From first call to launch
1. Discovery call
We talk through your goals, audience, must-have features, timeline and budget. I ask questions that surface hidden scope early, such as content migration, integrations and who will maintain the site.
2. Proposal
You receive a written proposal with scope, recommended stack, milestones, timeline and cost. Nothing starts until we both agree on it.
3. Design hand-off or planning
If you have Figma designs, I review them for feasibility and responsive behaviour. If not, I plan page structure and content with you, or bring in a designer.
4. Build on a staging site
Development happens on a private staging URL that you can check at any time. You see progress every week, not just at the end.
5. Launch
Before going live I test on real devices, check speed and SEO, set up analytics and redirects, and then launch with you watching.
6. Support
After launch I fix any bugs that surface, train your team on the CMS, and can stay on for updates and new features.
Engagement
Ways to work together
Fixed-scope project
Best for new websites and stores with clear requirements. One agreed price and timeline, split into milestone payments.
Hourly or sprint-based
Best for ongoing development, existing codebases or work where scope will evolve. You pay for the time used, tracked against agreed priorities.
Monthly retainer
Best for businesses that need regular updates, campaigns, optimisation and a developer on call. A set number of hours each month at a predictable cost.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How long does a website take?
A focused marketing site usually takes 3–6 weeks, and an e-commerce store or web application 6–12 weeks or more, depending on scope, content readiness and feedback speed. Your proposal will include a timeline specific to your project.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on the number of templates, integrations, content migration and whether design is included. Share your requirements and budget range through the contact form and you'll get a clear, itemised quote.
Who owns the website and code?
Once the project is paid for, the code, design files and content are yours. Hosting and domain accounts are set up in your name wherever possible.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Bugs found after launch are fixed, and I offer ongoing maintenance through hourly work or a monthly retainer.
